This Privacy Policy describes how ClearCost AI LLC ("we," "us," "our"), operating as MantleWise, collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your information when you use mantlewise.io and associated services (the "Service").
Account Registration: Full name, email address, password (hashed and stored securely via Clerk), optional profile photo.
Home Profile: Home address, property type, year built, square footage, bedrooms/bathrooms, appliance inventory (brand, model, age), improvement notes and repair history.
Diagnostic Content: Photographs and videos of home issues, structures, and appliances; text descriptions of symptoms; uploaded inspection report PDFs; contractor quotes submitted for validation.
Communications: In-app AI chat messages; feedback form submissions; support email correspondence.
Referral Information: Referral codes used at signup; referral codes you generate and share.
Automatically Collected: Usage data (features accessed, diagnoses run, pages visited), device information (browser, OS, device type), log data (IP address, timestamps, error logs), and session authentication tokens.
Payment Information: Handled exclusively by Stripe. We receive only: last four card digits, card brand, expiration date, billing name, and subscription status. We do not store full card numbers or CVV codes.
GDPR Legal Basis (EEA/UK users): Contract performance (service delivery); legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, analytics); consent (marketing, identifiable AI training); legal obligation (law compliance).
We do not sell your data. We share data only with the following service providers, all contractually bound to use your data only as specified:
Uploaded images, videos, text. Anthropic does not train on API inputs by default.

Legal Disclosures: We may share data in response to valid legal process, court orders, or to protect safety and prevent fraud.
Business Transfers: In a merger or acquisition your data may be transferred. We will provide advance notice.
You may request deletion at any time. We complete deletions within 30 days except where legally required (e.g., payment records).
No method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We will notify you and applicable regulators of data breaches as required by law. Maintain your own credential security and notify us immediately at support@mantlewise.io of any suspected unauthorized account access.

Response times: acknowledge within 10 business days; substantive response within 45 days (extendable 45 days with notice).

Response time: 30 days. You may lodge complaints with your local supervisory authority (e.g., ICO in the UK).

Essential/Session Cookies: Set by Clerk for authentication. Required for the Service to function — cannot be disabled while using MantleWise.
Local Storage: Used to save preferences (e.g., referral codes, session state). Stored on your device only.
Analytics: We may use anonymized analytics to understand usage and improve the Service.
Do Not Track: We currently do not alter our data practices in response to DNT browser signals.
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have done so, we will delete it promptly. Contact support@mantlewise.io immediately if you believe a child's information has been collected.
ClearCost AI LLC is based in North Carolina, United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US. For EEA/UK users, we rely on EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and other approved mechanisms for cross-border transfers. Our service providers (Anthropic, Cloudflare, Stripe, etc.) are US-based entities.
We recognize that home addresses, property details, and repair photos are sensitive personal information. We treat this data with heightened care and use it only to:
We do not use home addresses for advertising. Photos and videos are stored in encrypted cloud storage and transmitted to Anthropic solely for AI analysis — Anthropic does not retain them for training per their API terms. Your photos are not shared with other users or made publicly accessible.
We send marketing emails only with opt-in consent or where permitted by law. Opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing support@mantlewise.io. Transactional emails (billing receipts, security alerts, password resets) are sent regardless of marketing preferences.
Material changes will be communicated via email and/or in-app notice, with the updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
