Terms of Service

By accessing or using MantleWise you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We may modify these Terms at any time with notice via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

MantleWise is an AI-powered home diagnostics platform. It allows you to:

• Upload photos and videos of home issues for AI-powered analysis
• Receive AI-generated assessments, estimated repair costs, and DIY guidance
• Diagnose appliances via symptom-based inputs and optional photos
• Decode home inspection reports through document upload
• Validate contractor quotes against regional cost benchmarks
• Maintain a home profile with property details, appliance inventory, and repair history
• Access an AI chat assistant for home repair and maintenance guidance
• Share account access with household members under eligible plans

The Service is an informational and educational tool only.

AI Limitations. AI analysis has inherent limitations and can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading results. The Service cannot physically inspect your home, detect issues not visible in photos, account for local building codes, or replace a licensed professional who has inspected your property.

Not a Substitute. Any diagnosis, cost estimate, repair recommendation, or DIY guidance is for general informational purposes only. YOU SHOULD ALWAYS CONSULT A LICENSED CONTRACTOR, HOME INSPECTOR, STRUCTURAL ENGINEER, ELECTRICIAN, PLUMBER, OR OTHER QUALIFIED PROFESSIONAL before undertaking any repair, renovation, or maintenance work.

Safety Warning. If you suspect a gas leak, electrical fire, structural failure, mold infestation, or any immediate safety hazard — STOP using this Service and contact emergency services (911) or a licensed professional immediately.

Cost Estimates. All cost estimates are approximate ranges based on general data. Actual costs may vary significantly based on location, labor rates, material costs, scope of work, and hidden conditions.

No Warranty of Results. We do not warrant that following any recommendation will resolve your home issue, prevent damage, or produce any particular outcome.

The Service is intended for users 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users aged 13–17 may only use the Service with parental consent and supervision. You represent that you have the legal capacity to enter a binding contract and that your use will comply with all applicable laws.

You must create an account with accurate, current information. Each person may hold only one account — multiple accounts to circumvent limits are prohibited.

You are responsible for maintaining credential confidentiality and for all activity under your account, including actions by household members you invite. Notify us at support@mantlewise.io immediately of any suspected unauthorized access.

MantleWise offers Solo, Couples (2 users), and Household (up to 5 users) paid tiers on monthly or annual billing. Current pricing is at mantlewise.io/pricing.

• Payments processed by Stripe — we do not store full card numbers
• Subscriptions auto-renew at period end unless cancelled beforehand
• Price changes communicated at least 30 days in advance
• Founding member rates are locked for life of active subscription; forfeited on cancellation
• Cancellation takes effect at end of current paid period — no prorated refunds
• ALL SUBSCRIPTION FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE except as required by applicable law
• Failed payments may result in downgrade to free tier
• You are responsible for all applicable taxes on your subscription

MantleWise offers a limited free tier with capped monthly diagnoses and AI chat interactions. Free tier limits may change with reasonable notice. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits is prohibited.

The Account Owner is responsible for all activity of invited household members. Invited members must accept these Terms independently. Household members share access to home profiles and diagnosis history. Couples plans: 2 total users. Household plans: 5 total users.

Referrers may share unique codes; Referees receive a first-month discount on subscribing. Referrers earn rewards per qualifying paid referral as specified in the Service.

• Self-referral is prohibited
• Posting codes on coupon/deal sites requires written consent
• Program may be modified or terminated at any time
• Fraud results in forfeiture and possible account suspension
• Rewards have no cash value and are non-transferable

You retain ownership of all photos, videos, documents, and text you submit ("User Content"). By submitting, you grant ClearCost AI LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, process, and analyze your content solely to: (a) provide the Service; (b) improve AI models using de-identified/aggregated data only; (c) comply with law; (d) enforce these Terms.

You warrant that you own or have rights to submit the content, it does not infringe third-party rights, and you have the legal right to photograph the depicted property.

You agree not to use the Service unlawfully; circumvent security; use bots or scrapers; reverse engineer the Service; upload malware; submit false information; impersonate others; create multiple accounts to circumvent limits; infringe intellectual property; harass users; collect other users' data without consent; resell AI output commercially without written permission; photograph properties without authorization; or interfere with Service performance.

The Service, its content, design, logos, and software are the exclusive property of ClearCost AI LLC. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without written consent. Feedback you submit grants us an irrevocable, royalty-free license to use it without compensation. AI Output is provided for personal, non-commercial use only.

Data collection and use is governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference.

The Service integrates with Clerk, Stripe, Anthropic, Cloudflare, Resend, and Vercel. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies. We are not liable for third-party service failures, errors, or data incidents.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ClearCost AI LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from claims, damages, and costs (including attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, your User Content, violation of applicable law, any home repair work undertaken in reliance on the Service, or claims by household members you invited.

Informal Resolution. Contact support@mantlewise.io first — we will attempt resolution within 30 days.

Binding Arbitration. EXCEPT AS BELOW, ALL DISPUTES SHALL BE RESOLVED BY BINDING INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION UNDER AAA CONSUMER ARBITRATION RULES, NOT IN COURT.

Class Action Waiver. CLAIMS MAY ONLY BE BROUGHT INDIVIDUALLY. NO CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTIONS ARE PERMITTED.

Small Claims. Either party may bring individual claims in small claims court. Either party may seek injunctive relief in court to prevent irreparable harm.

Opt-Out. Opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing support@mantlewise.io.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles. For disputes not subject to arbitration, you consent to personal jurisdiction in the state and federal courts located in North Carolina.

Material changes will be communicated via email and/or in-app notice at least 14 days in advance. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

You may close your account at any time via account settings or by emailing support@mantlewise.io. We may suspend or terminate accounts for Terms violations, non-payment, fraud, or Service discontinuation. Sections 3, 10, 12, 15, 16, 17, and 18 survive termination.

These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and ClearCost AI LLC. Invalid provisions are severed; remaining provisions continue. Non-enforcement does not constitute waiver. You may not assign rights without consent. We are not liable for force majeure events. Electronic communications satisfy any legal writing requirement.
